America's Test Kitchen: Studio 2

The second studio we visited was with Jack and Susie, where the excitement of taste testing and equipment testing happens. You won't believe the number of tests each product undergoes!

Jack and Susie are ready for class.

The first test we dove into was with Dark Chocolate, and we had three exciting varieties: A, B, and C. Our mission was to place the chocolate on our tongues and let it melt naturally. After savoring each piece, we'd sip some water and move on to the next delight. I eagerly tasted my samples, anticipating the flavors. Jack then asked us to raise our hands if we preferred the chocolate in cup A. An impressive 95% of the participants shot their hands up! Next, he inquired about cup B, and the remaining participants showed their preference. I was the lone enthusiast for cup C. The A cup contained the renowned Ghirardelli chocolate, but I couldn't recall what was in cup B. When Jack asked why I chose C, I enthusiastically explained that it wasn't too sweet, melted beautifully, and tasted absolutely divine. Jack then revealed that I have an excellent palate, albeit an expensive one! The C cup contained a chocolate that costs a stunning $96 a pound. Wow!

The chocolate he has in his hand is the one I chose.

Susie got us all excited to choose our favorite vegetable peeler! We tested out so many different types. Some of them were a bit tricky, with peels getting stuck and making us pause to rinse them out. But there was one standout that everyone absolutely loved—the Kuhn Rikon Original Swiss Peeler, 4 inch! https://a.co/d/fvLhsh1

Stay tuned for the next Studio I visited!
