I made this last week and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was so tender and the gravy was rich. The recipe is very simple. Let your slow cooker do the work for you.
This recipe has been tried and true and approved by John. I will definitely be making this again.

I am in the process of using what I have on hand while cooking. I look at what I have then try to put a recipe together. I saw all of the ingredients and came up with this dish. Feel free to make any adjustments you like. Be free while cooking and use your imagination.
Slow Cooker Beef Tips
Ingredients
2 Tbsp olive oil
3 pounds stew meat
salt and pepper
3 cups of beef broth
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 small onion - diced
2 cups mushrooms - sliced
3 garlic cloves - minced
1/4 cup water
3 Tbsp cornstarch
Directions
In a large skillet over medium high heat add the olive oil. Salt and pepper the stew meat and add in batches to sear on both sides until brown, but do not cook throughout. Add the stew meat to the slow cooker.
Add the beef broth, dry onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, onions, mushrooms and garlic. Cook on low for 5-6 hours or high 3 -4 hours.
30 minutes before it is done cooking, mix together in a small bowl the water and cornstarch. Stir it into the slow cooker and allow it to thicken.
You can serve this over pasta, rice or mashed potatoes. I served this over mashed potatoes and if you love mashed potatoes as much as I do then I suggest to serve it this way.
Please leave comments about this recipe and cook this as soon as possible. It is a great meal.
